New Format for Volunteer Orientation

Rod McCallum a long time BVSPCA volunteer and part of the Open Paws training team facilitates the September Volunteer Orientation.   All in attendance were engaged by Rod's outline of the commitment, expectations and rewards volunteers experience working with the animals.  His passion and heartfelt stories delivered with humor welcomed this new group of volunteers.

Beginning this fall, the orientation for volunteers that wish to help the Bow Valley SPCA will be held on the last Thursday of the month (October 29 and November 26) at 6:30 PM at the Carla Cumming Sojonky Adoption Centre, home of the Bow Valley SPCA.  The volunteer orientation session provides a general introducvtion to the Bow Valley SPCA and includes a tour of the facility.  Opportunities to sign up for dog walking and cat care will be included as part of the presentation.
