The Girls Club at Banff Middle School presented a donation to Joanne McGilvray, Educator, at Bow Valley SPCA . They created decorative vases and sold them on Dec 6, 2017. The girls are pleased the money will help with medical expenses for resident animals at Bow Valley SPCA. Generosity and kindness were reciprocated: Joanne who was recently in St. Lucia; stayed at a resort that rescues stray cats. Joanne made a donation to the Resort Shelter in the name of the Girl's Club. The donations provide medical care and Spay and Neuter surgeries.
The current session withe the Girl's Club included learning Cat Behavior and making toys for cats that are safe and non-toxic. The toys will be given to the BVSPCA resident cats for Christmas. Joanne will continue introducing the girls to Friends of Felines, a program offered at Bow Valley SPCA on a monthly basis.
