First Aid For Pets at Bow Valley SPCA

Bow Valley SPCA staff participated in a day long course, Certified, Walk N Wags Pet First Aid.  It was presented by Jess Eustace from Adventure Tails, located in Canmore.  Besides the stuffed toys which were used for the initial practice, Lux (brown husky cross), Maddie (Pug) and Pepper (black shepherd cross) patiently provided real life models for the participants.  All three dogs were adopted from the Bow Valley SPCA by our Adoption Centre Mnager. This day of learning is another example of the commitment, skill and individual care each animal receives at our adoption centre.  These dogs are now giving back helping our staff to learn and stay skilled in animal care.   If only they could talk.
