Exciting Announcement
With Black Friday in the books, Giving Tuesday is just around the corner. This day of giving began in 2012 as a way for people to come together to do good, and to celebrate and support the charities and non-profits that are working hard to make our communities better.
Here at the Bow Valley SPCA, it’s a pretty big day for us. Especially this year, where we have not one but TWO amazing donors willing to provide matching funds!
Our generous and passionate donor, Hanna Pestell, is matching all Giving Tuesday donations up to $10,000! In addition, our longtime donor and supporter, Barry Taylor, has offered an additional $10,000 in matching funds. This means that your generosity will be doubled, up to a total of $20,000, when you donate on December 3!
What a great way to start the holidays!
But with all the charities out there, why should you donate to the Bow Valley SPCA? Because we care about animals as much as you do. We care about the quality of life of each and every one of the dogs and cats in our Centre, and we care about Making a Difference and Changing Lives in our community.
We have been rescuing dogs and cats in our one-of-a-kind, no-cage, no-kill adoption facility for 17 years. All animals in our care are treated as individuals, housed in comfortable rooms instead of cages, and treated with the utmost respect and care until we find them their forever home. Where others may give up on behavioural or medical obstacles, we are dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of our dogs and cats so that they can live their best lives.
We are also in the community, with our second hand pet store (the Shed Shop), our spay and neuter assistance program, therapy dog visits, dog training programs and community events and fundraisers. We have rehomed dogs and cats into the Bow Valley and beyond, taking care to match animals with their forever homes, adopting beloved family members into a lifetime of love and snuggles. We’re here for all dogs and cats, and the people who love them.
So, this Giving Tuesday, on December 3, we ask that you consider giving to the Bow Valley SPCA. Your generous donation will go twice as far in supporting our Centre’s efforts to rescue and rehome dogs and cats in the community. Every gift, no matter how small or large, is greatly appreciated and makes a difference.
We know we can’t change the everything, but when we come together, we can make the world a little bit brighter.
