Email Message from Marilyn's New Family

Hi Sonya and Everyone at the Bow Valley SPCA,
 
We have all had a fantastic week and have loved getting to know each other. Last Saturday and Sunday were very busy running around to make sure that we had everything she needed for the chilly week ahead. We meet up with some family dogs for a play date Sunday afternoon and then settled in for an afternoon nap... I am sure you are not surprised to hear that Marilyn just had to be in the middle. Throughout the week we have enjoyed some jogs around the neighbourhood but she LOVES the dog park and running free making new friends and chasing her ball. Her favourite toy is the laser pointer... all she needs to hear is the chain move and she is at your feet looking for the little red light to chase.
 
We are so happy and excited to have Marilyn as part of our family and couldn't be more thankful to ALL of you for taking such great care of her before she came to live with us. Any question that we had about her needs or personality was met with a very educated and knowledgeable answer. It is my understanding that someone took Marilyn under their wing and put a lot of time and effort into her making sure she was ready to adjust to a new home we wanted to extend a very big thank you to that person. All that time and effort shows when Marilyn softly takes a treat from your hand or hands a toy over without argument when she is asked to leave it. And of course Sonya, your help in the adoption process with Marilyn was greatly appreciated and made it a very enjoyable experience. To the volunteers we had the opportunity to meet and interact with while we were at the SPCA it is because of the time you give to these animals that make them such amazing family pets so thank you so much for every snuggle, walk and clean up that you have done.
