Collaboration With CCHS Leadership Class

The Education Committee of the Bow Valley SPCA has been working with the Canmore Collegiate High School Leadership class to help them craft presentations about Humane Education for younger students. Here is what the teacher in charge of the CCHS Leadership class has to say:

"The work with the BVSPCA was a highlight for our Leadership class. Your program set the students up to understand many elements that make up your facility and care that goes into every dog and cat that walks through your doors. It was amazing to watch the students educate the younger classes. Their own learning and compassion for the BVSPCA deepened through the act of sharing. Along with building on their understanding of care for dogs and cats, they  were able to work on their communication skills through speaking on the radio and in front of a class. Through presenting to grade 2 and 3's, they witness the engagement of a young audience filled with curiosity and insight for the animals!"
