Banff Off-Leash Dog Park Offically Opens

Grant Canning, Banff Town Councilor, conducted the ceremony for the offical opening of Banff's off leash dog park. Several dozen people and dogs showed up to help celebrate.  Paul Turner, president of the Board of Directors of the Bow Valley SPCA helped with the ribbon cutting.  Turner commented, Without the enthusiastic support of many volunteers and the dedication of Grant Canning and the funding from the Banff Town Council this park would still be a dream.  The Bow Valley SPCA salutes the work and is extremely pleased that the dogs in this community have an opportunity to play off-leash.

Of particular note, the third image -- the laughing dog --is a great boy we called Bundy when he was at the adoption centre, and is now Solar.  We are pretty sure he is expressing the feelinngs of all of the dogs in Banff.
