About Sleven

We are pleased to announce that Sleven was adopted on Oct. 25, 2024
After unexpectedly coming back into our care a year after adoption, we were worried that Sleven might be with us for some time, as he was previously at the shelter for nearly a year. However, after only a short stint back with us, this lovebug has headed home with a great new family! Sleven was a total gentleman during his stay with us, and quickly became a favourite of staff and visitors alike with his chilled demeanour and friendly disposition. He is now heading to a home with a doggie-sibling to befriend, and a family that loves him! We feel hopeful that this home is for forever!
The names Sleven and I am a cat that can take care of myself! I spent some time out on the streets, and then made my way to the Bow Valley SPCA a couple years ago. I was adopted out for a year, but unfortunately they decided I wasn't a good fit, and so now I'm back at the shelter looking for a home once again. I sometimes struggle to share my space with other animals, but don't mind living in the same room as other cats as long as I have some space of my own to retreat to. I like to talk, so a home where you like to throw around interesting ideas to keep the conversation going would be swell! I am definitely a lap cat and a love a cuddle, but can get overstimulated with hard petting, so a home that is able to read my cues and give me space when I've had enough would be appreciated. I do have an affinity for the outdoors having lived outside before (and I consider myself an adventurous fella!), so a home that would like to train me to go outside on a harness and leash and go on adventures together would be fun - there's too many predators in the Bow Valley to go out unsupervised! I sure hope this is my last time looking for a home, I promise I'll be very grateful and the very best boy if you take me home!
