CARE Centre Animal Hospital Supports Bow Valley SPCA

Fire Prevention Week October 4 to to October 10

Volunteers from the Bow Valley SPCA will be going with Canmore Fire-Rescue to local schools from Pre-School to Grade 2 during the week of October 5. They will be handing out Fire Fighter Pet Alerts to kids with pets.

Rock Mountain Mut Strut and Cani-X Is Great Success

The Rocky Mountain Mut Strut was an enormous success.  Participants, and volunteers, and especially the dogs had a great time. The Cani-X run was a terrific success.

Highland Games Donates to the Bow Valley SPCA

Kevin McDonald, from the Canmore Highland Games, brought almost $400 to the Bow Valley SPCA.  They passed a hat around at the Canmore Highland Games and decided the money should come to the Bow Valley SPCA!

Benito Encounters a Bear

Benito enjoyed a long-week end walk with his project leader (Roberta).  While they were out and about they saw this bear.  Benito stayed calm and Roberta hurried off to get her camera.  What a brave dog!

Cat Yoga

Kasia a newly certified Yoga instructor and member of Bow Valley SPCA Education Committee offered a Cat Yoga session at Bow Valley SPCA on Monday Aug 31st.   The cats enjoyed leaving their Chalets to engage in  a PURRFECT Cat Yoga session.  The people really enjoyed doing Yoga with sompanions!

Benito Shows His "Stuff"

Benito  has  been the perfect house guest visiting with his Project Lead and her family. On route, once seat belted, he just sits back and enjoys the ride.  Arriving at our home he shows  good manners,  and enjoys  the  attention from family members and visitors.

Canada Day Closure

The Bow Valley SPCA will be closed for Canada Day on Wednesday July 1st.
We will return to our regularily scheduled open hours on Thursday July 2nd, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Two Hour Dog Walk for a Donation to the Bow Valley SPCA

Adventure Tails has recently decided to give back to the Bow Valley community in the most fun way they know. Walking dogs!

Adventure Tails will be dedicating one Saturday of the month to a Charity and Cause and have chosen to start with the Bow Valley SPCA.

A Tribute to Hector

On Wednesday, March 11, the Bow Valley lost one of its oldest and best loved dogs, Hector, at the age of 18 1/2.

Lady--what a story!

December 5th, 2009 was the day we officially adopted Lady. We like to joke that she was a rePET(repeat) offender, as when we first saw her, it was her second time at the Bow Valley SPCA.
