Jessi Goes A Visitin'

Jessi a 6 yr old female, collie mix resident dog at BVSPCA, visited Residents at Origin Spring Creek in Canmore. She visited the residents of Morning Star house, whom experience various degrees of dementia. She was accompanied by two volunteers of Bow Valley SPCA.

Cedar Joins the Girls Club

Cold Weather Is Dangerous for Pets

As the educational graphic shows, we all need to bundle up when going out in the cold weather.  Short haired and especially small dogs don't tolerate the cold for very long.  Paws get cold very quickly, so consider trying booties on the really cold days.  Jackets for the short haired are a must.

Pats for Pets December 9 at 9 PM

Canmore Fire and Rescue to Host Pancake Breakfast

As part of Fire Prevention Week, Canmore Fire and Rescue will host a Pancake breakfast from 8 until 11 on Sunday, October 16 at the Canmore Firehall.  2017 calendars showing first responders with Bow Valley SPCA dogs and cats  will be on sale for $15.

Masquerade in the Mountains A Grand Success

Masquerade in the Mountains event held on Sept 30, 2016 @ Coast Hotel.   Ignite Dance Studio and Duelling Pianos entertained guests along with a Silent and Live Auction with proceeds going to support Bow Valley SPCA.   Masks worn by guests were varied and unique and entertaining.
