Red Goes to School

Monday Mar 5, Red a friendly 6 yr old Lab cross resident dog from Bow Valley SPCA, loved a morning out to visit with Canmore Collegiate High School's Leadership class.   Meeting the staff in the office started  his morning, lapping up the attention.  Red then presented his good manners to the Leadership Class.  Red is always eager to meet new people and was comfortable, happy to sit, and listen as students learned and discussed many topics. Students learned the  importance of Spay and Neuter by  viewing  posters made by previous Leaderships classes at CCHS. The poster's message, was felt by students to make a strong impression.

An unspayed female dog, her mate and all of their puppies and their puppies' puppies, if none are ever neuter or spayed, add up to:

1 year; 16 puppies

2 years: 128

3 years: 512

4 years: 2,048 and so on  . . . . .

The students are looking forward to a visit to Bow Valley SPCA to tour the facility in the near future.
