Paws ‘N’ Paints: A new event for the Bow Valley SPCA

The Bow Valley SPCA is pleased to announce their upcoming event: Paws ‘N’ Paints. This event is a fun way for participants to show off their artistic side while receiving support in painting, clay works, and statue decoration. Taking place at Art’s Place in Canmore on April 7, this event promises to be fun for the whole family and all of the proceeds will directly support the Bow Valley SPCA’s mission to save the lives of abandoned dogs and cats in a No Cage/No Kill environment. Doors open at 7 pm.

This is a brand-new event for the Bow Valley SPCA and reflects the shelter’s commitment to being involved in the community. Teaming with Arts Place, the event strives to be different from the usual fundraiser type events. The goal is to provide residents with a fun, creative experience that celebrates the amazing relationship we have with our furry family members. Lauren Hudspith, vice-president of the BVSPCA, said she is excited for this upcoming event, stating, "we wanted to create something different for our supporters, something more interactive and social."

This event also highlights some exceptional local businesses who have partnered with the BVSPCA and continue to provide support for the shelter’s innovative vision of a No Cage/No Kill facility that only uses force-free training methods. The Grizzly Paw Brewing Company will be providing their delicious brews and non-alcoholic beverages and Cornerstone Theater will be providing mouth watering hors d’oeurves for all participants. Arts Place will be hosting the event and providing artistic expertise as participants explore their creativity through a hands-on experience that will be fun for the whole family.
